Video 2.1: Organise your year.
From today’s training we are starting the planning part of this series. You will go through planning your 1 to 3 years ahead, planning your week, planning your day and then planning the next 3 months in your day to day schedule.
Planning gives you the opportunity to start using your time with intention instead of spending it chaotically or fantasising and expecting things to somehow fall into place.
While things may fall into place sometimes – in general, life is very chaotic and if you don’t put some effort to organise it – you just become part of the chaos. Jumping around like a chicken. Thinking that everything is important. Throwing yourself in every possible direction. Being exhausted. And of course – being absolutely sure that only your life is so complicated. :)
Planning is a tool for consciously creating clarity instead of reactively staying in the chaos. You can’t erase the chaos. But you can make sure you don’t stay there for a long time. And you do that by having a plan, based on what is important for you. Focus on that. And aligning to your plan, again and again – every time the chaos present itself and start to pull you away and distract you from what is actually important for you.
Video 2.2: Organize your week.
Dealing with your every day life and making a bigger change or working towards something important usually comes with confusion, discomfort and stress.
Of course, it can be exciting in many ways, but all of it takes a lot of capacity to deal with. That’s why it’s so hard to do it.
The reactive way to handle this is to just go for it, do different things and hope it will somehow work out for you. And while I absolutely believe in miracles (and they sometimes happen, especially in the beginning), I also absolutely believe that this is not the best way to approach life, changes or goals.
The strategic way to have capacity and deal with changes and goals is by intentionally creating clarity, organisation and structure in every way you can. This lower the stress for you in the areas that are predictable and that automatically expand your capacity to deal with the areas that are unpredictable.
Creating a clear routine for your sleep, for your meals, for your movement, for your work time, for your rest time and so on – all of those are examples of how you can create structure in your life. Instead of wondering and constantly deciding when all of that will happen (which is stress), you have a clear plan for it and you don’t have to think about it. That lower the stress in your every day life and you have more mental and emotional capacity to deal with changes and goals.
In this sense, intentionally creating organisation in your week and in your day is just part of creating this structure for yourself that helps you stay more stable and grounded, so you can better deal with the discomfort that comes with changes and bigger goals.
Video 2.3: Organize your day.
In today’s training I walk you through 3 steps to organize your day.
Having a clear structure for your day gives you the opportunity to use your time with intention and stay focused on what is actually important for you, instead of getting lost in distractions and then end up overwhelmed, because you fantasised that you can do all of your weekly tasks in just one day. :)
The last several trainings were all about creating organisation and structure for yourself. And you have to know that – it takes some time to get used to operate from a place where you use your time with intention, rather than living in an emergency mode where you just react to things.
If we have to be really, really honest – living in chaos, putting too much things to do in our schedule, feeling overwhelmed and creating more problems from that is something that gives a lot of people feeling of importance and significance.
Because… if you have SO many things going on, SO much things to do and SO many problems – you must be very important and significant, right?
This need for feeling important and significant can be so addictive that we may continue operating in chaos, convincing ourselves that our live is just too chaotic and can’t be organized, can’t be planned.
That’s why it’s very important to have some self-awareness, to really recognise what is happening and to make the conscious choice of creating stability and focus in your day instead of staying addicted to the chaos.
You can cover your need for importance and significance in other, more healthy ways like volunteering in a cause that you believe in, creating something that is important for you and share it with other people or just helping strangers with something you can provide.
But first – make sure you create the structure you need to be able to do all of this in an intentional and stable way. :)
Video 2.4: Organize your day to day schedule.
In today’s training I talk about organising your day to day schedule. And the idea is simple – just transfer all of the things that you have planned for the next 3 months from your yearly plan to your actual day to day schedule.
This part can be done in different ways and can go in many details. In the video today I show you how I do it and I give you some directions of how you can adjust it for yourself. Experiment and see what works for you. :)
Video 2.5: Organize your finances.
In today’s training I talk about organising your finances. :)
For some people talking about money and managing money comes easy and naturally, but for others – it’s actually not something pleasant to do at all.
In this moment, no matter if we like it or not, society is organised in a way that we need to use money. And if we want to use it well, we need to create some clarity and awareness around it.
That’s the purpose of this training!
No matter if you have a lot of money or very little money. No matter if you think you are good with money or you think you are bad with money – my idea for this training is to create importance for you about the topic of finance. To create urgency for you to look at your finances, to think about them, to create better understanding how you use your money and ultimately – to start making better decisions about your finances.
